  2. started delivering a new line of media-flexible Ethernet cards, dubbed
  3. EtherFlex. The cards combine all three major network interface standards:
  4. Standard Ethernet (10Base5), Cheapernet (10Base2) and Twisted-Pair
  5. Ethernet (10BaseT).

  7. Plus & Plus' initial offer consists of four cards that are driver
  8. compatible with commercially popular cards. These are EtherFlex-8B (NE1000
  9. compatible), EtherFlex-16B (NE2000 compatible, EtherFlex-PLUS (WD8003
  10. compatible) and EtherFlex-PLUS/16 (WD8013 compatible). Alteratively, a
  11. version of the cards with only AUI and UTP ports is also available. They
  12. can be upgraded to full EtherFlex by just plugging in two more chips. With
  13. these, Plus & Plus expects to solve the problems faced by a LAN installer
  14. in a multi-topology installation. The EtherFlex cards simplify both
  15. inventory and maintenance.
